Why This Million Dollar Dip Beats the Rest!

  • Better Crunch: My Million Dollar Dip uses freshly shredded cheddar and slivered almonds for the perfect mix of creamy and crunchy.
  • Flavor That Gets Better: This dip’s flavor gets better as it chills, so you can make it ahead and it’ll taste even better the next day!
  • Simplicity Without Sacrifice: My Neiman Marcus Dip comes together in minutes and has the perfect balance of rich, salty, and savory flavors.

Million Dollar Dip Ingredients

Overhead shot of labeled ingredients.
  • Almonds: Toast your almonds before for maximum nutty flavor.
  • Cheese: Use freshly shredded cheddar for the best taste and texture. You can also use aged Gouda or Gruyere.
  • Flavor Boosts: Add extra flavor with 1 Tablespoon ranch seasoning, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, or a few dashes of hot sauce!
  • Mayonnaise: You can substitute mayo for sour cream, cream cheese, or Greek yogurt. I have found that mayonnaise works best.

  1. My friend spreads a spoonful of this mixture on those little rye breads, she does a full cookie sheet of them, then heat in the oven, maybe broiler, for a wonderful hors-d’oeuvre.

If you really want to take this to the next level, skip the almonds and top it with strawberry preserves! It sounds weird but it’s REALLY good. (I’ve been making something almost just like this recipe for years. It’s always a hit.)

  3. TBH, first I thought why you name it million dollar dip, but then I read the whole article, Ok, one question here, is there a any way we could use less Cholesterol I mean 13%? my doctor told to use less of it. lol

  4. Excellent post – Great post which I needed to read. The great thing is I enjoy every moment of it, now just to find more time!

  5. So I made this recipe and it was a hit! The next day I sat down to write the recipe out for my recipe box (I know old school) and I realized I made an oops! I added an 8oz package of cream cheese simply because every dip has cream cheese in it and apparently I didn’t read the ingredient list too closely. Anyways, it was awesome, company and children enjoyed it and I will make it again with the cream cheese addition.
I love your recipes, this is my go to site when looking for inspiration!

We were on vacation and we doubled the recipe as well! Everyone loved it, but I kind of wondered about putting Cream cheese in it as well. I wanted it to be more of a cheese ball that wouldn’t be as messy. I plan on trying it with low fat cream cheese.

  6. Hi alyssa 🙂
