My family LOVES it and my husband would love for me to make this weekly lol. I do cheat and buy hashbrown potatoes so I don't have to spend so much time on the potatoes And I cook bacon and add it in at the end. I volunteered to take this soup to my son's school teacher... any idea if it will do ok on keep warm setting in crock pot? Ps. I would love if you found a way to make this in the instant pot!!]]> 5 stars
I have a love hate relationship with this soup, I LOVE the flavor, but hate how long it takes to make. (Mom of 14m old and 4 year old who tend to need me when I’m trying to cook🤦‍♀️) I follow the instructions as written. My family LOVES it and my husband would love for me to make this weekly lol. You’re welcome to use sour cream instead of the shredded cheese. It will change the color and flavor a bit, but I’m sure still be delicious. I wouldn’t substitute the full 1 cup; it seems like a bit much. I would start with 1/2 cup of sour cream first, then taste it and adjust if you need more.

I’m glad you like the egg roll recipe! Crumbed tofu or cauliflower rice could be a good vegetarian alternative for you. I’ve even seen cooked and crumbled tofu in the freezer section, which would make it easy for you!

Tried this recipe with a few tweaks, and it was great. It’s one of the few meatball recipes out there that doesn’t require a million ingredients– just remember to buy the ground turkey, and then everything else is probably in your cupboard/fridge or has an easy substitution. 1) I used 93 percent lean ground turkey; 2) I added 1 Tbsp of olive oil to the mix. 3) I put the diced onion through a mini food processor to make sure I didn’t end up with chunks of onion; 4) added 1 Tbsp of Italian seasoning to the seasoned breadcrumbs; and 5) substituted 1/4 tsp of garlic powder for the fresh garlic, again to avoid chunks. I baked it on the top 1/3 of my oven to encourage browning.
