(Unless it refers to a bag of frozen berries from the grocer, then I would agree). Trying to mix fresh, room temperature berries into the batter is a fool’s errand. It will turn into a blue mash batter. Putting a pint or more of fresh berries into the freezer overnight solves
everything. I also double up on the cinnamon topping and spray olive oil on top of the mixture :30 minutes into baking to prevent burning.
