Diane, I think this recipe actually stays dippable when it cools. It’s definitely not like a fondue where it becomes solid when it’s not on heat. Although, it is best served warm.

Great easy recipe! Easy and delicious. I used Kerry Gold cheddar and a yugling. Used fresh grated Parmesan instead of guyere.

Is the garlic…a whole garlic? Or garlic powder? Or minced garlic? Not sure bc all it says is garlic

I may try this, but will add a bit of heat. I’m from Kentucky, and beer cheese is a big thing here—there’s even a festival and yearly contest. But it always has some heat, even those marked as “mild”. Perhaps a dash or two of cayenne…
