Hi Carol, thank you for your comment. Typical pastry dough is very simple and doesn’t have much flavor. But, you could try upping the salt to 1/2 teaspoon, but I feel like that will be too much for me personally.

Alternatively, you can try using a higher quality butter, such as Kerrygold, or you can add 1/4-1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon to the flour before cutting in the butter if you want more spice to it.

I thought it was beautiful, but the crust had no flavor. Wondered what I could have done to give it more flavor. Maybe made it a little more buttery?? Thoughts?

Yes, thank you for catching that. I’ll update the recipe card!

Yes, that sounds wonderful! Here’s a recipe for salted caramel sauce if you need it!

Yes, you can use any apple of your preference. And yes, you can freeze the dough and then thaw it overnight in your refrigerator.

1) can I use two different types of
apple’s together in this tart?
And
2) can you freeze your dough after
you shape it in the tart pan?

Hello! I used a standard 9-inch tart pan for this recipe.
