Hi Kate! Can’t wait for you to try your bread! You can give your starter as-is, you don’t need to add anything to it.

I made the starter and today is baking day! I got 3 cups to gift so I put them in 3 different bags. Do I need to add anything to that 1 cup of starter? I’m assuming not, they just feed on Dat 6 but wanted to make sure. Thanks so much!

Friendship bread typically is made with a starter and that needs a few days to ferment. There are some other great breads out there though that you can bake in one day! Here are a bunch of mine: https://therecipecritic.com/bread-recipes/quick-bread/
