Hi Jean, I had a similar experience. I would recommend opening up the air fryer and stirring them often to help them cook more evenly. You could also cut them a but thicker. Good luck!

The problem I have with my air fryer is that the blower flips these all over the place and they cooked really unevenly. Also wasn’t sure how thickly to slice them and I slided them on the thinest setting of my mandolin slicer so will go thicker next time (maybe that will keep them from blowing all over in the basket as well?). I really wanted them to be good and I was looking forward to them! Any suggestions would be very welcomed!

Hi Linda, I’m sorry that keeps happening! Try lining your basked with foil to create a solid base where they won’t be able to slide between! Let me know if that helps!

My problem is is a slide between the slats in my fryer basket. I have to keep taking them out. How do I stop that?

You can try cooking them at 375 degrees Fahrenheit instead! Make sure that the sweet potatoes are very thinly sliced and dried well before tossing them in the oil.

I peeled my sweet potatoes, but you can leave the skin on if you like!
