Crack Chicken Egg Roll Ingredients

Overhead shot of labeled ingredients.
  • Chicken: Use precooked chicken, like rotisserie or canned, for convenience. If cooking your own, season 2 chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and a touch of ranch seasoning for extra flavor. The air fryer or Instant Pot works great.
  • Bacon: Precooked bacon is easiest, but oven-baked bacon is deliciously crisp if you prefer homemade.
  • Ranch Seasoning: Homemade ranch is a great option you can control the salt and customize the flavor to your liking.
  • Dip Suggestions: Try buffalo sauce, ranch, or jalapeño dressing for a tasty finishing touch.

How to Make Crack Chicken Egg Rolls

Don’t worry about rolling these egg rolls, just follow my step-by-step visual guide below and you’ll see it’s easier than it looks! Here’s how it all comes together:

  1. Combine Filling: Add the chicken, cream cheese, bacon, cheese, green onions, and ranch seasoning to a large bowl and mix until evenly combined.
  2. Fill Egg Rolls: To wrap the egg rolls, place an egg roll wrapper so that one corner is towards you. Add three tablespoons of filling to the bottom half nearest to you.
  3. Fold the Bottom: Wrap the bottom corner over the filling.
  4. Seal: Dip your fingers in a small bowl of water and rub them along the edges of the wrapper before folding both side corners in over the filling.
  5. Finish the Roll: continue rolling away from you to form a snug roll. Repeat until all the wrappers have been filled and rolled.
  6. Air Fry and Serve: Spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray. Air fry in a single layer so they crisp evenly. Cook in batches so they don’t touch. Then, lightly spray the tops of them with olive oil spray. Air fry at 400ºF for 6 minutes, then flip the egg rolls over and cook for an additional 4-6 minutes. If you need, you can keep finished rolls warm in a 200°F oven. Enjoy warm with your preferred dipping sauce.

Alyssa’s Pro Tips

  • Keep Wrappers Damp: Egg roll wrappers dry out quickly! Cover the ones you’re not using with a damp paper towel to keep them soft and pliable.
  • Seal Well: Use water or egg wash to seal the edges so the filling doesn’t leak. A pastry brush works great and keeps your fingers clean.

Confession: I never thought I liked mushrooms… until I made these air fryer mushrooms. With garlic parmesan, they’re juicy, tender, and downright addictive. Even the mushroom skeptics at your table will be fighting over the last bite!

Was Very Good! Will definitely be making again. Seemed like a lot of mushrooms at first but after cooking down just right for 2 to 4 people as a side.

Why You’ll Be Obsessed

  • Perfectly Crispy: My method keeps mushrooms golden and crisp on the outside while staying juicy inside. No sad, rubbery mushrooms here!
  • Simple, Everyday Ingredients: No fancy steps or hard to find seasonings. Just straightforward flavors that come together fast and taste amazing.
  • Quick & Foolproof: Ready in minutes with easy-to-follow instructions for the best mushrooms you’ve ever had in your life!

Air Fryer Mushroom Ingredients

Overhead shot of labeled ingredients.
  • Lower Sodium: For a lower sodium recipe, you can omit the salt and use low sodium soy sauce if you prefer.
  • Thyme: You can use ¼ teaspoon of dried thyme in place of the 1 teaspoon of fresh thyme.

How to Make Air Fryer Mushrooms

Nothing complements a hearty dinner quite like mushrooms. They are so tender, meaty, and flavorful! That’s why they’re so popular served with steak! It’s the perfect combination. Here’s how to make them.

  1. Combine: Add the mushrooms, olive oil, soy sauce, parmesan, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper to a medium bowl. Toss to coat the mushrooms evenly.
  2. Cook in Air Fryer: Add the mushrooms to the air fryer basket in an even layer without crowding them. *Air fryers need air flow, and mushrooms need a little room around them to cook evenly. Air fry at 380°F for 5 minutes. Shake the basket and cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until tender.

Alyssa’s Pro Tip

Avoid Soggy Mushrooms: Keep your mushrooms from turning soggy by wiping them clean with a damp paper towel instead of rinsing. If they do get wet, just dry them thoroughly so they don’t soak up extra moisture.

Why You’ll Never Cook Meatballs Any Other Way

  • No guessing, no stressing! Toss frozen meatballs in the air fryer, and they come out perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
  • Dinner in record time! Forget waiting on the oven. The air fryer gets them hot and golden in minutes, and cleanup is basically nothing.

How to Make Air Fryer Meatballs

You can quickly pop the meatballs straight from the freezer into the air fryer! They are perfect for an appetizer, an after-school snack, or on top of spaghetti for dinner. Here is my tried-and-true method for making the perfect meatball!

  1. Arrange: Place half the bag of frozen meatballs into the air fryer basket, then close and air-fry for 10 minutes at 400°F. (Cooking times may vary.)
  2. Cooking Meatballs: Shake the basket halfway through so the meatballs cook evenly. *Don’t skip this step! Cook the other half of the meatballs if desired. Enjoy as an appetizer or entree! Serve with your favorite sauce, BBQ, or marinara, or use them in any dish that requires meatballs.

Alyssa’s Pro tip

Don’t crowd: Cook the meatballs in a single layer, leaving a little space between them so they can crisp up on all sides. Continue to cook for an additional 1-2 minutes if you want an extra-crispy outside.

Ingredients Needed

The seasoning in this air fryer chicken recipe is the game-changer! It is the secret ingredient that takes this chicken from simply juicy to absolutely mind-blowing! Every bite is infused with an irresistible flavor that makes this chicken so insanely good.

Overhead shot of labeled ingredients.

Let’s Make Air Fryer Chicken Breast

This air fryer chicken recipe uses ingredients that you most likely already have on hand. This will be your go-to dinner for busy weeknights because it’s so quick and easy!

  1. Coat Chicken Breast: Brush 1 tablespoon olive oil on 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts.
  2. Seasoning Blend: In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
  3. Rub: Rub the seasoning onto both sides of the chicken breasts.
  4. Air Fry: Place the chicken in the air fryer basket. Cook at 360 degrees Fahrenheit for 9 minutes. Flip the chicken and add Brussels sprouts, if using. Cook for an additional 9 minutes or until the internal temperature is 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Allow the tender chicken to rest for 5 minutes before slicing and enjoying!

Cooking Tips for Juicy Air Fryer Chicken

Let’s make the BEST juicy and tender air fryer chicken breasts! The air fryer can work wonders, so here are my tips for making this recipe a success!

  • Perfect crisp on the outside! Olive oil is essential in helping the outside of the chicken get crispy while it air frys. It also ensures the delicious seasonings adhere to the breasts.
  • Avoid overcrowding! Make sure you leave room between the chicken breasts so they can cook evenly. Cook in batches if you need.
  • Check for doneness! Check the temperature with an instant-read thermometer earlier than you think. You don’t want to overcook the chicken. Appliances can vary so go by the temperature of your chicken to ensure it’s done. Once it reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit, take it out.
  • Let it rest! Let the chicken rest for about 5 minutes before cutting into it. This allows the juices to reabsorb into the chicken instead of spilling onto your plate.

Flavor & Moisture Boosters

You can use this air fryer chicken recipe for all sorts of dishes. Whenever a recipe calls for cooked chicken, this is my go-to!

  • Mix it up! Depending on your menu, you can use Mexican spices, BBQ spices, sauce, Indian spices, etc. Whatever your menu calls for, this is a quick, delicious way to cook your chicken.
  • Lock in Moisture! Want to make sure your chicken is super moist and tender? Try marinating or brining your chicken for even greater juiciness and flavor.
Tender Juicy Air Fryer Chicken with Brussel Sprouts

Storing Leftovers

I love this air fryer chicken because it makes the best leftovers! It’s great for meal prep and to use for other recipes throughout the week.

  • In the Refrigerator: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
  • In the Freezer: You can freeze the chicken in a freezer-safe bag for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge before using.

Serve your air fryer cod with tartar sauce, yum yum sauce, or a fresh squeeze of lemon juice.

Tips For Breading

Breading any food can be messy. Here is a surefire way to at least keep it manageable.

  1. Wet hand: With one hand, dip the cod into the flour mixture and coat evenly. Then, using the same hand, dip it into the egg mixture and shake off any excess egg. Then, drop into the panko mixture.
  2. Dry Hand:  With your other dry hand, press the panko evenly onto the cod, making sure it sticks. Take your time to coat it well so you get that perfect crispy crust! Then, you place it in the air fryer basket and repeat.

Tips for the Best Air Fryer Cod

  • What if I don’t have an air fryer? If you don’t have an air fryer, this bakes up perfectly in the oven! Cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes. Carefully flip the fish. Continue to cook for 3-5 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Don’t Over-Crowd: Give the fish space to breathe. If they are too close together, they will steam instead of “fry,” and they won’t get crispy.
  • Can I use frozen Cod? Use good quality cod fillets. Fresh or frozen is fine. You don’t want them too thin, or the fish won’t have time to crisp up before it starts to dry out. Thaw frozen cod according to package directions. Pat dry with a paper towel to remove any extra moisture. This will help the crust crisp nicely.
  • Can I spray the fish with a cooking oil? Using oil is optional but can help it become crispy. Use an oil-only spray. Do not use a non-stick spray, such as Pam. They have additives that will ruin your air fryer.
  • Do I have to use Panko bread crumbs? Panko bread crumbs are larger and absorb less moisture, so they will produce the best crust. Your air fryer cod will be crispy and golden. Regular breadcrumbs will not give you the same results.
  • Do I have to use Cod? This recipe works with any type of white fish and turns out amazing. Think snapper, tilapia, bass and haddock.
Upclose picture of a fork cutting into the air fryer cod.

How to Store Leftover Cod Fillets

  • Refrigerator: You can keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.
  • Reheat instructions: Reheat the fillets in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes or until heated through. It won’t have the same crunchiness, but it will still be good. Crispy Air Fryer Cod is best right out of the air fryer.

Crispy Air Fryer Eggplant is a fun flavorful snack that is a healthier option than typical fried snacks. Tender eggplant slices are coated in crispy breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese, deliciously seasoned, then air-fried to perfection.

Close up shot of someone dipping an ai fryer eggplant chip into marinara sauce.

Reasons You’ll Love This Recipe

  • Easy to Make: This tasty snack takes less than an hour to make. Serve it up for a hearty after-school snack for the kids.
  • Eggplant: I love using eggplant, and this air fryer recipe is one of my favorites. It has tons of nutritional benefits, and I love how it absorbs flavors. Try it in my eggplant lasagna and eggplant parmesan.

Healthy Snack Idea

Don’t give up flavor for healthier snack options. This recipe combines both by not frying everything in oil and instead of cheese or meat, you are using a hearty vegetable as your base! You can also try my air fryer zucchini fries, crispy chickpeas, and parmesan kale chips.

Ingredients Needed

How to Make Air Fryer Eggplant

Give yourself time for the eggplant to dry out a bit to make these delicious air fryer eggplant crisps. Once they have dried a little, everything comes together quickly. Scroll to the bottom of the post for exact measurements for the ingredients.

  1. Prep: Sprinkle the eggplant slices with salt on both sides and place on a paper towel for 20 minutes to absorb any liquid. Flip the slices halfway through to absorb the other side.
  2. Egg Wash: Whisk the egg in a small bowl and set aside.
  3. Stir: Combine the panko breadcrumbs, flour, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and parmesan cheese in a medium bowl.
  4. Dip: Dip the air fryer eggplant slices into the egg mixture to coat both sides.
  5. Coat: Dip the egg-coated slices in the panko mixture to coat both sides, then place aside on a plate.
  6. Air Fry: Place them in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Spray both sides of the breaded eggplant with olive oil spray! Cook at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 15-20 minutes until the eggplant slices are golden brown. Flip the eggplant slices halfway through the cooking time. Work in batches if necessary. Serve your air fryer eggplant with marinara sauce.

Air Fryer Eggplant Tips and Serving Ideas

  • Olive Oil Spray: I prefer olive oil spray, but you can use any non-stick spray to moisten the eggplant breading for crisping. Feel free to drizzle with olive oil if you prefer. Be sure to spray both sides!
  • Salt and Pepper: I didn’t think air fryer eggplant needed salt or pepper for added flavor, but feel free to season to your liking!
  • Seasonings: Instead of Italian seasoning, you can use parsley, basil, or oregano. Add any seasonings your heart desires!
  • Ways to Serve: Dip air fryer eggplant in marinara sauce for a tasty appetizer or snack. You can also serve it over pasta and pour the marinara over the top, like eggplant parmesan. Or use the crispy eggplant to make vegetarian sliders!

Storing and Reheating Leftover Eggplant

Air fryer eggplant is best enjoyed right away, but if you have leftovers, here is how to store and reheat them!

  • Fridge: Store leftover eggplant in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.
  • To Reheat: Reheating leftover eggplant is BEST in the air fryer to bring back that crispy texture! Reheat at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 minutes.

Pita pizza is like having your own personalized mini-pizza! Grab some ready-made pitas, pile on your favorite toppings, and indulge in a quick and tasty snack for a delightful way to satisfy your pizza craving whenever it strikes!

I love finding recipes my kids can make themselves that are filling and so yummy. This pita pizza is definitely one I keep ingredients on hand so they can quickly make it as a snack or even a meal when our schedule gets hectic. I also recommend having ingredients on hand for air-fryer quesadillas, 5 minute million dollar dip, and my air-fryer grilled cheese.

Overhead shot of sliced pita pizza on cutting board.

Reasons You’ll Love This Recipe

  • Quick and Easy: This recipe takes 10 minutes to make. Its simple, ready-to-go ingredients make it possible for you to grab them out of the fridge and have a snack or meal ready in no time!
  • Budget-friendly: Grocery shopping can be a real challenge, especially when you’re feeding hungry teenagers. This recipe helps you stock up on simple, budget-friendly ingredients that satisfy everyone’s appetites without breaking the bank.
  • Delicious: Not only is this pita pizza simple to make and budget-friendly, but it is actually so good, and you can customize it to suit your tastes!

Customizable Pita Pizza

This is one of my favorite new recipes because it’s so versatile. You can build it the way you like! Go full veggie with tomatoes, mushrooms, and onions, or keep it classic with just pepperoni. Use whatever base you’ve got on hand: naan, whole wheat pita, or even gluten-free!

It’s also a great clean-out-the-fridge meal. No mozzarella? No problem, swap in cheddar, parmesan, or feta. And if you love easy, cheesy pizza snacks, don’t miss my Pepperoni Pizza Rolls, they’re always a hit!

Ingredients Needed for Air Fryer Pita Pizza

The great thing about this recipe is how you can use these simple ingredients to make something so delicious and affordable. Scroll down to the recipe card for exact measurements.

  • Store-bought pita bread: This substitutes for pizza dough. You won’t have to wait for it to rise or toss it. It’s the perfect crust for your pizza!
  • Marinara Sauce: You can buy store-bought marinara or make your own homemade pizza sauce. If you don’t like marinara, you can drizzle olive oil instead.
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese: This cheese melts to a beautifully creamy texture and has a mild flavor, lending to the perfect base for other toppings.
  • Pepperoni Slices: These add a punch of flavor and a meaty texture. If you want to kick up the heat, then get a spicier pepperoni!
  • Basil & Red Pepper Flakes: Use these as a garnish. Red pepper flakes add heat, and basil adds a fresh herbal flavor that complements the cheese and sauce.
Overhead shot of labeled ingredients.

How to Make Air Fryer Pita Pizza

You won’t need to come back to the blog to know how to put this pizza together. Spread the sauce, add your toppings and let the air-fryer do its magic!

  1. Pizza Sauce: Spread about 2 tablespoons of marinara sauce on top of the pita bread.
  2. Cheese: Sprinkle on the shredded cheese.
  3. Toppings: Arrange the pepperoni slices on top and then add any additional toppings if you use them.
  4. Cook: Carefully place the assembled pita pizza in the air fryer basket. Cook at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 5-6 minutes. Alternatively, place the pizza on a baking sheet pan, then bake for 5-7 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit or until the cheese is melted.
  5. Serve: Slice with pizza and garnish with fresh basil and red pepper flakes if you would like!

Pita Pizza Perfection

You really can’t mess this recipe up! Here are some ideas to add variety! Get creative and switch things up to see what you like!

  • Toppings: Add any toppings you desire! Chopped veggies, pineapple, olives…the options are endless.
  • Pizza Flavors: Swap out the marinara sauce for BBQ, alfredo, or pesto sauce. We love to make BBQ chicken pita pizzas!
  • Protein: Add more protein by using chicken, ground beef, sausage, or salami!
  • Cooking Methods: Don’t have an air fryer? No problem! You can make this pita pizza in the oven or even the microwave!
  • Air Fryer Tip: If you use an air fryer, the pepperoni might blow around as it cooks. A trick my son taught me was to switch up the layering. Layer the sauce, pepperoni, and then the cheese. The cheese will help weigh down the pepperoni and keep it from blowing around.

How to Store Leftover Pizza

Pita pizza is best served fresh, but if you make too many or would like to have some on hand to heat up later, follow the instructions bellow.

  • Refrigerate: Allow the pizza to cool completely before placing it in an airtight container. Store in the fridge for 3-4 days.
  • Freeze: To make your pita pizza last longer, wrap it first in plastic wrap and then aluminum foil before placing it in an airtight container. You can leave it in the freezer for 2-3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before reheating.
  • Reheating: When ready to eat, reheat in an air fryer, conventional oven, or microwave. Follow the same heating instructions in the recipe card below.
