This recipe yields about 24 meatballs. You can always change the amount by making them bigger or smaller. At least this gives you a starting point for your handy measuring method!

Could you kindly tell us how many meatballs this recipe yields? I actually find it so much easier when a meatball recipe tells me how many meatballs to make, rather than only giving the dimensions of the meatballs. That way I don’t have to measure, or worry that I’m making them too large or too small, which could affect the cooking time. Once I have the ingredients combined, my favorite trick is to roll the meat mixture into a log, and then start subdividing it into segments according to the number of meatballs needed. So for, say, 16 meatballs, I first divide the log into two halves (easy to eyeball without measuring), then I divide the two halves into half again (yielding 4 segments), and then just keep dividing the segments in half until I have 16 identical segments. (Hope this makes sense!) Then all I have to do is to quickly roll each segment into a ball, and with almost no effort, I have the exact number of meatballs called for in the recipe, and they are all beautifully uniform in size. This is incredibly quick and easy, and saves me SO much time! No hunting for the right size scoop, no measuring, no wondering if I’ve made the right number of meatballs, and best of all, no having to tinker with resizing some of the meatballs after discovering that they are not all uniform in size. I used to dislike making meatballs because I thought they were too puttery, but now it’s a breeze!

This recipe was delicious! Several meatballs are in my freezer ready to use anytime.

It was easy to make with ingredients I have or are accessible from most grocers. Even though my breadcrumbs were stale bread and I forgot to add parsley which I know would have added tremendously to the flavour, I’m very happy with the results.

Thank you for a recipe I will make again and again!
