Hi Tracy, you could, it definitely won’t taste the same. If I were you I would make a run to the store if you can, it would be worth it for the flavor of the green onions. But if you can’t regular onions would work.

These were really easy and tasty. It was my first time using wonton wrappers. I will try spraying them with oil a little heavier next time or use a different oil because they were still pretty pale and the very top/corners were really brown. I used avocado oil because that was what was in my sprayer. I’m glad the instructions said to spray the basket because some of the cream cheese bubbled out and fried onto the basket, but it was pretty easy to scrub off.

These were a big hit. I was unsure how many batches this would make (ended being 1-1/2) or how long it would take me to assemble so I ended up finishing them well before the rest of dinner was ready. I told my husband he could try one as soon as they were out of the fryer but the rest would be for dinner. I saw him take one and head to his den. A few minutes later, I turned around and half of the tray of the rest of them was already gone. Thankfully, I have more wrappers so will make another batch tomorrow.

Recipe made 12 wontons. I made them in a convection oven at 375 and it took about 8-9 minutes.

Good recipe, but my first batch burned. For my Ninja air fryer, 350°F for 4 minutes was perfect.
