After 40 minutes you should have popcorn. Check your airfryer or temperature.

I will not cook corn any other way from now on. I had issues with all other methods from boiling (making the corn water logged, watery and flavorless), to BBQ (drying it out), to oven roasted (Not bad, but still I feel like it was losing natural juicy flavor). Eventually I stopped buying corn and cut it out of our diets several years ago, but I recently got an air fryer and found some beautiful corn on sale so I decided I wanted to try it in the air fryer. I found this recipe and it turned out perfect! The first time I followed the recipe to a T and loved it, the next time I played around with some different spice combos I like and every time it turns out perfect. I rolled mine around in the basket a couple of times during the cooking process, but I bet if I just left them sit there it would still turn out great. I rubbed oil on the cobs with my hands and then seasoned before putting them in the air fryer. I wanted to try cooking with butter but after reading above I think you are absolutely right that its more flavorful with the butter added after and oil for cooking. I will still limit the corn from our diets but when I do want it, this is the only way I’ll cook it from now on. I looked up some other recipes before deciding on this one, and I felt like many of the temps seemed very high. This temp is perfect for a fully cooked, gently roasted, flavorful cob! The pictures had me hooked and ultimately I decided because of how amazing it looked. The air fryer locked in the flavor without losing the natural juices, it wasn’t watery or dry. 5 stars, and I have recommended to family!

Your air fryer is not working correctly if it takes 40 minutes to air fry corn.
